Many people come to therapy not knowing exactly what's wrong β only that something isn't right. That's a perfectly valid place to start.
Anxiety can show up in many ways β racing thoughts, physical tension, avoidance, or a constant sense of dread. Whether it's generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, or work-related stress, therapy can help you understand what's driving it and develop tools to manage it.
Feeling persistently low, hopeless, or disconnected is exhausting. Depression can make even small tasks feel impossible. Therapy offers a space to explore what's underneath these feelings β not just to cope with symptoms, but to begin to understand and shift them.
I have a particular interest in the experiences that are specific β or disproportionate β to women. This includes navigating the menopause and its emotional impact, the grief of infertility or miscarriage, postnatal experiences, and broader questions of identity and self-worth across the lifespan.
Relationship difficulties β with partners, family, friends, or colleagues β are among the most common reasons people seek therapy. I can also help with the painful experience of loneliness, difficulty trusting others, or patterns in relationships that keep repeating despite your best efforts.
A harsh inner critic, chronic self-doubt, people-pleasing, or feeling fundamentally "not enough" β these patterns often have deep roots. Therapy creates space to challenge these narratives and build a more compassionate, realistic sense of who you are.
Losing or questioning your faith can be profoundly disorienting β particularly when it's tied to your community, identity, and sense of purpose. Religious trauma from harmful or high-control religious environments is real and deserves to be taken seriously. I offer a non-judgemental space to process this, whatever your current beliefs.
Grief isn't only about bereavement β it can accompany the end of a relationship, a job, a phase of life, or even a version of yourself. I provide a supportive space to sit with and process loss at whatever pace feels right for you.
I have specialist interest and experience in working with autistic adults and those with ADHD. Therapy can be a powerful space to understand how your neurotype shapes your experiences, relationships, and mental health β and to develop strategies that actually work with your brain rather than against it.
I adapt the way I work to suit your communication style and needs. You don't need a formal diagnosis to work with me on neurodiversity-related concerns.
The list above isn't exhaustive β it reflects areas where I have particular experience and training. If you're not sure whether what you're going through is something I can help with, the best thing to do is get in touch. The free 30-minute introductory call is a good opportunity to talk it through before committing to anything.
